bisexual poccinema & mediai’m really entangled into the world of japanese cinema — especially the works of akira kurosawa, masaki kobayashi, and studio ghibli. currently getting into takashi miike as well. (hes so weird help)my favorite american directors would be david fincher, stanley kubrick, and quentin tarantino for their amazing artistic vision and unique styles.i love existentialist literature and film, especially stories that explore systemic oppression, identity, and moral conflict.revenge jidaigeki (especially chanbara) is one of my favorite genres, along with layered mafia noiri’m also obsessed with psychological / philosophical thrillers and character-driven dramas that dive deep into existential questions: especially self-worth and identity. i am in love with character studiesin terms of tv shows i absolutely love the sopranos, shogun, and breaking bad.(please recommend me more shows 🙏)values & outlookokay so i used to LOVE discussing marxism but I honestly think its a bit flawed now, i lean more towards critical theory due to flaws in marxism and constant failure in application.i’m a big believer in unconditional love. i care deeply about my friends and believe people deserve understanding (and sometimes empathy) despite their flaws.ideologically, i tend to think in a centrist / ethically nuanced way, valuing independence and personal autonomy over rigid camps.i also believe that meaning in life is something you create yourself: that’s one of the most important parts of having free will and indepdence as a human.religion & philosophyreligiously i’d describe myself as an epistemic agnostic with existentialism as a practical framework.i think a god could exist or not exist — but since there isn’t evidence either way, i don’t feel the need to confine myself to a strict religious label.i’m more interested in the search for meaning than certainty. (humanism)booksi love books a lotdo not get me started on philosophy genuinely we will be here for days so ill just list many people who have books i like:epictetus, plato (socrates), aristotle, camus, kafka, jung, freud, frankl, nietzsche, kant, kierkegaard, zeno, sartre, marx, lenin, descartes, hume, locke, schopenhauer, heidegger, beauvoir, etcim also somewhat of a huge fan of gothic literature . . .shoutout mary shelley for frankenstein and i love dorian gray & jekyll and hyde as wellself help books are amazing tooones that vastly interest me are: Atomic Habits, Thinking Fast & Slow, Man's Search for Meaning, Etcshoutout poets and playwrights and whatnot: shakespeare, aristophanes, & sappho r my goatsi also really love expression of paintings and emotions they can sometimes convey:fallen angel is one of my favorites but not for the religious aspect just because of the conveying of emotion and the birth of pride & envyseries i'm deeply interested in
